An intelligent US citizen might ask, “why are US ambassadors traveling to Africa to intervene in its military affairs, promising money to certain factions and intervening in its elections? Why aren’t time, energy and resources used to fix the many, many problems in the US?
There are at least three main purposes of US involvement. These include to control the natural resources, to install governments friendly to US foreign policy, and to keep national governments in Africa divided against each other so no coherent national forces enter the world stage as independent actors. They’re not finding it so easy.
