Michael Roberts attended a “Subversive Festival” over the weekend on the topic of “The Contradictions of 21st Century Capitalism.” He presented his in-depth slide show which lays out three kinds of contradictions: a) economic; b) ecological/climate, pandemic; and c) geopolitical – wars and trade and technology conflicts. He shows graphically the amplification of wealth inequality; the rise of poverty and the slowing down of economic growth, with the exception of China.
