Enormous logistical clusters of transport, warehouses, ICT networks and intermodal facilities have sprung up all over the industrialized world to keep up with capitalism’s “just-in-time” delivery model. These clusters, or hubs, employ hundreds of thousands of workers to move the goods produced. If organized labor starts organizing strikes at these hubs they have a chance to hit capitalism where it hurts – on the supply line, and greatly increase their bargaining power.
