Well , Yankee political elites are all about the “sovereignty of the nation to determine its own elections”. However, when it comes to the state protecting its citizens in natural disasters, “interference” is allowed, depending on political affiliations. To Venezuela and Cuba the answer is “we don’t need your help, everything is under control.” But for Israel the door is not only open for them to receive aid, but Israel has the right to state the political conditions for allowing relief to be given by the U.S. government to its own citizens. But of course, that’s not interference.
