Over 600 workers in a factory in Buenos Aires are not accepting being left behind by PepsiCo’s attempt to relocate for cheaper labor costs. What is also inspiring is that they took over the factories without union support. In Argentina, in addition to the union, workers have factory committees which elect their own delegates. In this case, they overrode the union leadership. Whatever becomes of this particular strike, this worker takeover is just a rehearsal for the real thing as capitalism continues to fragment.
