This is a good, short blog post by a white sociologist whose book on white privilege I have read and used in my classes on racial and ethnic stratification. He talks about racism as having less to do with intentions or ignorance and more to do with a kind of collective unconsciousness of actions. Excellent reading for good white people who don’t understand they actually might be racist, even though that is far from their intention or beliefs.
