It’s refreshing to see a criticism of the left based on its own beliefs (the workers as the revolutionary class), rather than the reading moronic attacks from the right that think Obama is a socialist. We agree with the author that identity politics will continue to marginalize the left relative to its own working class. We disagree over the point at which the left declined – as well as whether or not Trump was elected primarily by the working class.
