The United Nations began after World War II with a mission. The mission was not utopian, bringing heaven to earth, but rather to keep humanity from going to hell. How has it done?
When we look at the rise in global temperatures we can see that growing parts of the world are already in hell. Also, its internationalism has failed miserably as more and more countries expand their military budgets. The UN has failed to stem the rate of inequality both domestically and internationally. Neither has it been inclusive of the whole world. From the beginning it has been a tool of the imperial West.
