The Empire That Eats Itself: Internalization of Imperial Parasitism

One of the myths of the Mordor empire is that consumer spending drives the economy. That might be true if the United States was producing real goods and services. But it is not.

It produces finance capital, insurance and real estate. Those that produce industrial products are from the capitalist periphery. In reality Mordor’s imperialistic dependence is the foundation for getting consumers their products. This continues with Trump despite its tariffs because the United States produces no goods that other countries want.
