During the years of European plagues, the first round of which lasted from 1347-1351 and wiped out somewhere between 30 to 50 percent of Europe’s population, the aristocrats were known to flee the towns while leaving the servants to die cleaning their houses. They were also known to hire armed guards to keep people from leaving their homes if they were suspected of having a disease. Capitalists are not likely to have their globe-trotting disrupted by the virus either. Expect them to insist on their servants working dangerously in public so their vacation plans aren’t disrupted.
