Mordor Debt Bomb Ticking Getting Louder

The US debt now stands at 36 trillion dollars, on track to be $50 trillion by the end of this decade.

What will this mean for the US dollar internationally? BRICS members are being encouraged to trade in other currencies. What will this debt mean for Treasury bonds? They no longer appear to be safe havens on the international market. Remember that dollars are no longer backed by gold.
