Maduro’s Concessions to Capitalists Alienate Chavistas

The Maduro government in Venezuela is in trouble not because it is socialist, but because it is not socialist enough. This is a very good article on how the economic crisis in Venezuela is made worse by Maduro’s concessions to capitalists after he won the elections. He accepted a delay in the implementation of the new currency and he allowed capitalists to increase credit card rates. Both of these concessions make life harder for the working class.
