Don’t be fooled into thinking the G20 has the interests of any but the elites at the top of their agenda. Forget the professed concern of Merkel for climate change. Their top priority is control for the capitalists. But as support for the enormous crowds protesting the meeting this year prove, the G20 is losing that control. We don’t agree with the author of this article that reform is the answer. As long as capitalism exists there will continue to be financial crashes, gross inequality, climate change and environmental disasters.
