From Prison to President: Moon Jae-In’s South Korean Road to Diplomacy

In the United States we have a president who inherited most of his wealth, has no political training, no political experience and yet is a head of state. But other heads of state actually have heroic careers behind them before ever becoming a head of state: Nelson Mandela. Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales. After reading this article about president Moon Jae-In’s life as a political prisoner it is hard to imagine he was not a major force in the reconciliation of North and South Korea.
