We don’t agree with everything in this article. There are plenty of reasons to be out in the streets besides protesting Trump, like an end to capitalism. However, the suspicion in this article is justified. Paul Craig Roberts rightly points out that the protests lack the variety of slogans and diversity of signs to be an authentic expressions of the popular will. If 47% of the people didn’t even vote, is this an expression of the popular will? We doubt it.
