On the surface of trade, Europe got nothing from its tariff agreement with King Popsicle. However, what the European rulers think they are getting in return is a promise of national security in an era of geopolitical volatility.
It is the hope of locking the United States into a much more intensive war of NATO that is driving European rulers to accept the US leadership against Russia. Why would Russia want to attack Europe when rising countries in Asia and Africa want to do business with Russia? This is a question the rulers of Europe are not smart enough to ask.
