Whether it be in psychology, sociology, or philosophy there are usually between five to seven theoretical frameworks through which to understand the material. But not in economics as it’s taught in today’s colleges and universities. In economics there are two schools: the free-market fundamentalism of Milton Friedman and centrist Keynesianism which acts like a foil. According to this blog, Austrian, Marxian and Post-Keynesians are nowhere to be found.
