The IMF has issued its biggest loan ever – 50 billion dollars – to Argentina. Michael Hudson points out this will bring misery that will be comparable to that being experienced in Greece and Ukraine. Among the demands of the IMF are that Argentina may not grow its own food, but must import it from the United States. They also look down upon any political power given or taken by labor leaders. Hopefully, the socialist left will rise to combat this.
