One of the Yankee justifications for placing its military bases in countries close to China is that it is offering “protection” against the evil machinations of the Chinese. For this reason, the Chinese must support nation-state autonomy (including these countries building their own defense systems) which provides native justifications for refusing more US military bases or, better yet, dismantling existing Yankee military bases.
