Unfortunately, the American population has no political mechanism in which it could pronounce a political party dead. Without that mechanism, we are subject to endless reiterations of the “NEW AND IMPROVISED” Democratic Party. A sign of the how right-wing the Democratic Party is can be seen in the fact that, with one exception, the tour is slated to visit those cities that voted republican. The democrats don’t even perceive that there is a problem between the Democratic Party and the real left.
