Wells Fargo is no puny bank, having 4,000 branches across the United States. Workers there have no union but that is changing.
The Communication Workers of America have been brought in by Wells Fargo workers as the first union in Wells Fargo Bank in its 170 year history. The issues are universal across sectors: short staffing, low pay, sales’ pressure and high turnover. In addition, these workers put in a great deal of emotional work because they are dealing with people’s money.
