The next few times you watch the police arrest someone, ask yourself a simple question: what social class is the person being arrested? Isn’t it rare to see even a middle-class, let alone an upper-middle class person dressed in a shirt and tie being arrested in public? The point of this article is that the police use their violence as a means to control the working class, on or off the job.
