The Place and Misplace of False Flag Operations

False flag operations consist of either a state attacking its own people or attacking an ally and then blaming it on a third party. According to this author, false flag operations go all the way back to biblical times. This article discusses how false flags are used by governments in practice while simultaneously dismissing oppositional reports on them as “conspiracy theories”.
