Normally it is hard to imagine salespeople in insurance companies as candidates for union organizing. It is especially difficult because salespeople are out in the field rather than in a plant or an office. But this article describes how someone who started out not even knowing what a union was ingeniously managed to collect 200 signatures towards forming a GEICO union in Buffalo, NY before the powers that be found out. Now they are locked in a struggle with their bosses.
