In the political circles of a discipline called “International Relations” capitalism is a kind of dirty word. Theories of state-to-state clashes are typically seen as clashes of ideologies, geographies (north-south) or religion (Christian vs Muslin). What this completely misses is what they have in common: an international capitalist economy. This short article discusses why Saudi Arabia is attacking Yemen. “Sectarianism” is not the major reason.
