Usually whether or not socialist planning is a good thing is based on to what extent we value what Stalin did in Russia. But what gets much less air time is the feasibility of socialist planning from below. The authors of the new book Economic Planning in an Age of Climate Crisis (author Paul Cockshott in image) argue that only socialism from below can solve the current global climate crisis. Their proposals are very quantitative and down-to-earth.
