There are good reasons why the Democratic Party is hated by many in Russia, and it is not because the Democratic Party has anything to do with democracy. The fact that the Democratic Party has nothing to do with liberalism is driving Russians to became more nationalist and anti-American. Understanding what Putin is doing internationally along with China helps to explain why Putin is so popular in Russia.
