This is the second of our posts on the recent BRICS conference. This is a wonderful back and forth discussion between two of the greatest economists in the world, one a Marxist and one not.
Michael Hudson says that these meetings were not set up to immediately implement projects. They are more like a table of contents for what needs to be done. Richard Wolff points out the historical significance of the conference. The reason for that is that it is the first time an alternative economic block is actually large enough to be self-sufficient and separate from the West if necessary. Wolff also brings up one controversial issue that was not discussed. Check it out to find out what he says.
