Marxian Analysis of the Global Consequences of Trade Wars

If the Trump administration actually follows through with its trade wars with China the result will be to forge an even greater bond between China and the rest of the Eurasian continent. For the US, it will increase its dependence on Canada and Mexico for trade. But with AMLO, a slightly left of center president, Trump may encounter more resistance than he’s had up until now. This article also points out that the Great Depression in the thirties was also started by a trade war.
