Israel’s Attacks on Lebanon and its Unintended Consequences

This is a very good description of some of the reasons why Hezbollah’s and Iran’s conservative response to Israel’s attack might have been short-sighted.

Both the Lebanon and Iranian leaders expect Israel military to behave rationally when, in fact, they have been behaving irrationally for at least 1 year. From other sources we have gathered that Israel’s capacity to sustain a ground war in Lebanon is not realistic. Then what? The hatred of Israel by Arabic states is the worst it has ever been.
