This is a terrific visual of the “Great Depression” compared to the “Great Recession”. We think it’s noteworthy how the politicians and the press keep talking about the “recovery” and the drop in unemployment. It’s important to remember that unemployment numbers do not include those who have dropped out of the work-force, have timed out of their UI benefits and those who have taken low-wage, part time jobs. Propaganda is alive and well in the U.S. Thanks to Michael Roberts blog for keeping us up to date about what’s really going on.
