Why do Yankees flock to Disneyland? Some have said its Main Street is a nostalgic appeal to 18th century, pre-industrial cities in Yankeedom. But whatever the cause, behind Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Davy Crockett stood an arch-conservative Disney. He was a fascist sympathizer, religious and anti-union.
