As we’ve said before, the great thing about Labor Notes’ reporting is they don’t just report victories of workers around the United States. They tell us HOW these victories were achieved.
The Amazon workers intentionally approached the perceived leaders in various groups and organized with them. They involved members of other unions and people in the community through phone banking. They knew which departments and which shifts they had support in. They studied the techniques of the IWW and the Communist Party and applied them. This is very exciting.
